Our Story
Always Drawn
Back to the Water
From the Jersey Shore to the lakes of Old Forge to the shores of Florida — a lifetime spent near water, and a brand born from that connection.
A Life by the Water
The Journey

Saltwater in My Veins
Growing up along the Jersey Shore, the ocean wasn't just a place to visit — it was home. The sound of waves, the smell of salt air, the way the water made everything feel right. From the very beginning, being near the water was where I felt most like myself. It grounded me, calmed me, and shaped who I would become.
Those early years by the Atlantic planted a seed — a deep, unshakeable connection to water that would follow me everywhere.

Where the Lakes Spoke
My young adult years brought me to the Adirondacks — to Old Forge, where the freshwater lakes are so still and clear they look like mirrors. It was here, surrounded by those quiet waters, that I met my husband. The lakes of Old Forge taught me something different than the ocean: that water doesn't have to roar to be powerful. Sometimes it whispers, and that's even more beautiful.
Two kinds of water, two kinds of love — the bold saltwater of my childhood and the gentle freshwater of my heart.

Rooted by the Water
Now we call Florida home — and the water is still here, still calling. Whether it's the Gulf's warm teal shallows or the Atlantic's deep blue horizon, I wake up every day feeling that same grounding I've always felt near water. It never gets old. It never stops feeling like exactly where I'm supposed to be.
Florida is where Blue Akoya came to life — because I finally had the space, the clarity, and the courage to build something as rare and beautiful as the water that raised me.

What the Name Means
Blue Akoya

“Something rare is worth waiting for — and worth building a life around.”
Akoya
Something rare. Something precious.
The Akoya pearl is one of the most prized pearls in the world — formed in both saltwater and freshwater, shaped by nature over years of patience. It's luminous, rare, and deeply connected to the water it comes from. That's exactly what this brand is.
Blue
The color of every water I've ever loved.
The deep Atlantic blue of the Jersey Shore. The glassy teal of Old Forge's lakes. The warm turquoise of Florida's Gulf. Blue is the thread that runs through my whole life — and through every product we create.
“Blue Akoya means something rare — a brand, a feeling, a way of living that honors the water and everything it gives us.”
— Founder, Blue Akoya
What We Stand For
Our Values
Water as Foundation
Every product we create starts with water — its minerals, its botanicals, its energy. We believe water is the most powerful natural ingredient on earth, and we treat it with the reverence it deserves.
Nature's Ingredients Only
We source only from nature — ocean botanicals, freshwater minerals, pearl-derived actives, and plant-based formulas. Nothing artificial, nothing harsh. Just the best the natural world has to offer.
Grounded in Feeling
Blue Akoya was built on a feeling — that sense of calm and belonging you get when you're near water. We want every product to bring that feeling home with you, wherever you are.
Respect for the Water
The water gave us everything. We give back by using sustainable practices, ocean-safe formulas, and packaging that doesn't harm the ecosystems that inspire us.
“I always feel grounded when I'm near water. That feeling — that's what Blue Akoya is made of.”
— Founder, Blue Akoya
